About: a bio-ish thingy
Kinga Suto is a Los Angeles based writer/performer who has appeared in several national commercials and voice overs (Home Depot, Bailey’s Irish Cream, Best Buy, Southwest Airlines) as well as the ABC episodic series “10-8: Officers on Duty.” She recently wrote and directed her first film, “The D-Monster,” through the AFI Directing Workshop for Women; a quirky part animated part live action comedy. She has performed improv, stand-up and her own brand of one-person character shows across the United States, but mostly here in Hollywood: Improv, iOwest, Groundlings, UCB and Haha Cafe. Her comedy is based on real life people and her own personal stories. Her name is Hungarian, because everyone asks. LA’s Metromix Magazine recently said, “put Kinga on your to do list!”

the trenches
Upon graduation, Kinga moved to Hollywood where after working for several years as a reader for various studios, Kinga landed a dream job as director of development for Penny Marshall’s company, Parkway Productions. Some of the projects Kinga developed while there are BEWITCHED, CINDERELLA MAN and HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS STORY.
the writer years
In 2002 Kinga left feature film development to pursue writing and was given a first look deal by director Martin Campbell (CASINO ROYALE) where she co-created an episodic entitled GUARDIAN ANGELS. From there, Kinga co-wrote a feature spec, THE DONOR, which garnered attention from production companies such as Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions. Kinga also co-created a quirky teen movie, MR. PERFECT 6.0. She is currently writing the feature version of THE D-MONSTER.
working actor
In 2003 Kinga landed a role on ABC’s 10-8: OFFICERS ON DUTY. Since then, she has appeared in several national commercials (Zantac, Best Buy, Home Depot) including her most famous, the first girl geek in the hugely successful, Geek Squad Best Buy Ads. Her fav to date, opposite Dave Foley (Kids in the Hall), in the Orange Box Home Depot ads. The infamous sketches, addressing a myriad of taboo social issues, earned Kinga an invitation to perform the show in NYC at The UCB Sketch Fest.
American Film Institute’s Directing Workshop for Women
Kinga’s solo show, THE D-MONSTER, which ran at iO West for over a year, was written into a film and selected out of hundreds of applicants for the AFI Directing Workshop for Women, a prestigious institution dedicated to launching female artists into successful television and feature film directing careers.
